Chili Poll

The temperature's dropping, and we may see the first hard frost of the season this week!

It's the time to start making warming stews. I left the crockpot full of stuffed cabbage this morning. Sometime soon I'll have to make a chili. But bbwoof and I disagree about what goes into a really good chili. I like putting in plenty of shredded leftover brisket, and he sure doesn't mind that. I think that the best chili starts with a pot of dried pinto beans soaking overnight, but a can of chili beans will do. He doesn't object too strongly to that, either. But should there be a touch of brown sugar or not? How about a little cocoa? Cilantro? How much chili pepper, and what kinds?

How do you cook your chili?
