Forty-Something

never give up, patience
I'm really loving the [info]fortysomething community. I found it because it was featured in the Spotlight, and so did several hundred other people. It's full of introductory posts right now, but there's also a resident Cabana Boy and some pretty cool people.

Most of the over-40 people who use LJ seem to be:

  • bright, computer savvy, a little geeky

  • liberal, groovy, into all sorts of interesting things

  • completely, totally, NOT posers -- comfortable with who they are, and presenting themselves authentically

  • really not caring about what other people think about them (not as in, "I've got an attitude" but as in "I'm cool with whatever you think, and I'm still cool with myself")

  • happy and enjoying life

They also like good music. :-)

Here's something for you to remember the '70s by:

Hmm - there are some pieces of music best forgotten....

Guess they wouldn't let me join as I am too old...

There are some 50-somethings there too. I think that in LJ, "over 40" is its own category! :-)

Hmmmm, can I remember back to when I was 40?..?!
I guess I'm too old to join, too.
